Today Marks 50th Anniversary Of Deadly Kentucky School Bus Crash

Thursday marks the 50 year anniversary of a school bus crash in Floyd County that killed 26 students and the driver.

The bus went off a road and plunged 60 feet into a river on the morning of February 28, 1958.

The cause remains a mystery.

21 people survived the crash.

No criminal charges or lawsuits were ever filed in the case.

At 2:00 p.m. Thursday, a presentation marking the anniversary will be held on the Senate floor in Frankfort.
