New School Superintendent Named In Madison County

Madison County Schools announced Thursday that they have a new superintendent and he's a familiar face in the system.

Interim superintendent Tommy Floyd is the Madison school board's choice to lead the district, which has more than 10,000 students.

Floyd, who was among eight applicants interviewed for the job, has been interim superintendent since January 10th, after the death of Mike Caudill.

Floyd had been Madison County's chief academic officer after being a principal in Somerset.
