Lexington Eye Doctor Convicted Of Murder Learns His Fate

Sentencing was held on Friday for a Lexington eye doctor convicted of murder.

In January, a Fayette County jury recommended Dr. Michael Flick spend the rest of his life in prison.

Flick killed Christine Wittich and shot his former business partner, Dr. Randall Lambirth, in 2005.

The jury spared Flick from the death penalty and recommended the possibility of parole in 20 years.

The judge agreed with that recommendation on Friday, sentencing Flick to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years.

Flick apologized to the families of his victims before learning his sentence.
