Crews Rush To Put Out Apartment Fire

Several Lexington families are looking for new places to live after fire tore through their apartment building.
The flames broke out around 6:00am Saturday at the Village Square apartments on Village Drive.

Firefighters saw heavy smoke and fire when they got to the scene so they called for backup. Everyone inside the building made it out safely.The fire damaged at least six units.

Firefighters are still trying to figure out what caused it.
Another fire damaged several units at the same apartment complex on February 12th. Investigators say it was sparked by a blow torch being used by workers.
