Couple Found Dead In Richmond Home

An elderly Madison County couple was found dead in their home Saturday.
The coroner tells 27 NEWSFIRST Betty Jane Chrisman, 72, and Wayne Chrisman, 74, were found in their home on Big Hill Avenue in Richmond. He says the letter carrier called police when he realized the couple had not picked up their mail in days.
Investigators are looking into carbon monoxide poisoning as a possible cause of death. The coroner says it will take a few days to make that determination. The coroner has ruled out foul play.

I can not believe you people. A family has lost two of it's members tragically and this is the way people are responding. What if it were your family...would you appreciate these comments. My heart goes out to this family, and I am praying for you all. As for the lady that posted the comment about the children, their daughter lives in Pennsylvania. Show some respect, this family is grieving for the loss of not one but Two loved ones.

I actually work next door to this couples home. I give my condolences and sympathy out to the children of the couple. I always worried about them they seemed to be alone most of the time. I just had a horrible feeling Saturday when I saw the police come to their house. After I was asked when was the last time I saw them I just wanted cry. To a comment about a previous comment on the children not checking on their parents, daughter does live out of the state. I know first hand about living far off from you parents it's never easy to begin with. I know she is grieving enough without dealing with the "what ifs" in life. Betty Jane and Wayne have gone home now...god bless both of them.

Last night my 17 year old daughter was in a car accident. She got hit on Crooksville Road in Madison County by a 2000-01 Black Chevrolet Full Size Truck. It was a hit and run and I was wondering if we could have this put on the news asking if anyone had ANY information about this to please call the Richmond State Police Post at 859-623-2404. Thank You So Much, Jennifer

I hope this couple had no children to leave the feeling that they never checked on their parents daily. we all need to be better neighbors.
