Guilty Plea In Beating Death Of A Toddler

A guilty plea in Laurel County in the beating death of a toddler.

Clarence Mullins will be sentenced later this month for the murder of 16-month old Bradden Collopy.

The Sentinel-Echo reports Mullins pleaded guilty to the boy's murder in exchange for a 30-year prison sentence.

The paper says Mullins admitted to punching the baby in the head several times while babysitting him.

    since when is it okay to get 30 years for murder, that is ridiculous. He pleaded guilty to beating a human being to death and all he gets is 30 years? Where is the justice in that. He should get life in prison.

    I totally agree. Let's do the same thing to these people as they do to kids, but only take it a step further. Show them how it feels. no adult should be allowed to get away from any crime committed against a child, but only to suffer the same punishment as they done to the child, and then give them jail time along with many other punishments. Child predators should all be put to death.

    They should beat this person and make him suffer...we're too easy on these people...eye for an eye and people will start learning they can't do certain things without serious punishment.
