Cars Torched At Dealership

Richmond Police are investigating after five cars at a Richmond auto dealership caught fire just before two Thursday morning. Now, they believe people stealing gasoline may have stated the fires.

Valentine Honda on the Martin Bypass lost at least seven cars in the fire. It caused nearly a quarter of a million dollars in damages.

The owner, Matthew Valentine, says he is not sure who would have done such a thing.

"I just got the call. They said we had some cars on fire. You never really believed that sort of thing. Hopefully, they were exaggerating. I came down here and indeed, they were on fire," Valentine said.

Officers found the gas tanks open on several Honda Pilot SUVs that were lost in the flames.

Valentine says police provide a good presence in the area.

There is no word on any suspects in the case and police are asking for the public's help.

I want some of what you're drinking. Your comments have no bearing on this story about damaged cars.

Something similar to this happened on television Sunday night on King Of The Hill. On the show someone used flares to start fires and blow up cars at dealership that Hank Hill was angry with. Anymore kids try to simulate what happens on television, makes you wonder if this was the case there.

As prices go up for goods so does the demand for ill gotten goods. Soon well all be burying our power and telephone lines and locking car gas tanks just to try to disuade theft. A friend of mine had meth head neighbors move next to him for 3 months. He couldnt keep gas in his or his wifes car as they would get drained 3-4 times a week. Naturally the cops cant do anything unless theres video or witnesses.

I saw the video of the dog being thrown over the clif by the "troops". I was just wondering where the OUTRAGE is over a child an unborn baby being torn from it's mother's womb? WHERE"S THE OUTRAGE OVER THAT...just because you don't see the act..are you less appaled? We need to get our priorities straight...yes, it is cruel..but, so is abortion!
