An HIV positive woman who bit a store clerk during a robbery in Boyle County entered a guilty plea Thursday morning.

Victoria Spoonamore took a plea agreement. She pleaded guilty to robbery and wanton endangerment, in exchange for a 12 year prison sentence.

Police say on September 11th of last year, Spoonamore grabbed cash out of the register at the Chill Quick Stop Convenience Store in Danville. The clerk spotted the robbery and tried to stop Spoonamore.

Surveillance video showed Spoonamore biting the clerk while screaming that she had AIDS. Because of her medical condition, Spoonamore was originally charged with attempted murder, but that charge did not stand.

The clerk has been tested and did not test positive for HIV.

Spoonamore will be formally sentenced on April 8th.

This woman tried to rob a store; bit the clerk knowing she had aids....she should be held for attempted murder against the clerk. Prayers goes to the families of both parties.

What a terrible thing. First of all, the clerk was doing her job. Then this woman comes in to rob the place and bites her, screaming she has AIDS. Even though the clerk has tested negative, she will have to take tests at intervals for several years to make sure. What a nightmare!

She needs to be put in the chair or a needle in her arm. She mean't for the clerk to catch aids from her.The clerk may have lived awhile, but death would be sure.So why shouldn't Spoonamore get the death penalty. She will go to prison and infect people there.Like a dog "once it bites there is no changing it".
