At the Georgetown Community Hospital weather conditions affected, but didn't stop the work flow.

Paramedic Michael Ratliff says a fifteen minute transport to Lexington was taking thirty minutes or longer. Nurse Steven Huffstetler said some nurses were having to stay longer to cover for those who couldn't get through the snow, fast enough.

North, in Dry Ridge, Connie Carter was working at Family Dollar. She says it was a slow work day until Wal Mart decided to close earlier.

It wasn't slow at the local Food Lion, employes there were busy helping long lines of customers.
