Vote May Change Medical Alert Service Rules

Kentucky lawmakers may vote Thursday to regulate personal emergency response systems.

A Danville, KY man and his wife have been working for months to gain support for House Bill 409 or Christine’s law.

It's named in honor of Christine Talley.

Her son, Jim Talley, says Lifeline waited too long before calling 911 when his mother needed help.

If the bill becomes law, it would tighten medical alert service rules and companies could face serious charges for violating the rules.
