Rowan County Explosion Leaves Three In Hospital

Arson investigators do not suspect foul play in a car fire that sent three people to the hospital.

It happened Monday morning at the Dry Creek Estates Mobile Home Park in the Clearfield community of Rowan County.

Investigators say three people were sitting in a car with a can of gas in the back seat when the explosion happened.

Witnesses believe a short in the radio could have triggered the fire. 21-year old Daniel Pitman was flown to the UK Medical Center where he's in critical condition.

Two others were also hospitalized.
