One Killed, Three Injured In Boyle County Crash

A young Garrard County woman was killed Monday night in a deadly accident along a Boyle County Road.

State police say a Ford F-250 pickup truck drifted into the wrong lane of Highway 34 and hit 20-year-old Ashley Broaddus' Pontiac Grand Prix head-on.

Broaddus died at the scene.

A passenger in her car, Matthew Pierce, 23, went to UK Hospital, where he's listed in serious condition.

The driver of the pickup went to the hospital for an ankle fracture.

The pickup also hit an SUV after hitting the Pontiac.

The SUV's driver has been treated and released from the hospital.

No charges have been filed.

Those roads are so narrow. My heart goes out to the families of all. My prayers to Asley's grandmother who had raised her.

Tragic...So sad... I travel that road every day for the past 15 years and now it is time to start patrolling it... I see at least one traffic infraction every day I'm on it (speeding, passing on double line, etc..) but I can count on one hand in my 15 years have I seen a sheriff or state patrol on that piece of highway... Godspeed to victims and their loved ones...
