Sheriff Murder Trial Now Underway

Testimony is now underway in Bell County in the trial of a man accused of killing a former sheriff.

Raymond Harris is charged in the murder of former Harlan County Sheriff Paul Browning, Jr. in 2002.

Browning's body was found in Bell County.

Tuesday, prosecutors said Harris was paid a thousand dollars to kill Browning, but the defense claims there's no proof of that.

Testimony is expected to continue on Wednesday morning.
