Pothole Causes Problems During Rush Hour

Wednesday's wet weather created a big traffic mess on New Circle road. A big pothole opened up between Newtown Pike and Georgetown Road.

The pothole covered one lane of the outer loop.

Road crews had to close the lane while they called in a dump truck to fill it. It was patched up and the road opened back up a little before five in the afternoon.

This type of weather can create a lot of potholes, so road crews say you need to be extra aware on the roads.

What's all this fuss about potheads causing problems during rush hour? Potheads normally are too busy with the munchies that they don't even drive a car in rush hour? If you have a problem with potheads during rush hour, call the cops. They'll bring out a drug sniffing dog and solve that problem...what's that? Potholes? not potheads? Never Mind!

Weather!? Yes, weather will casue potholes when using cheap road material. Notice to any officals in Lexington.... take one look at the materials used in northern states to build better roads in Lexington. Better blacktop mix and use of concrete go a long way to stop potholes and the need for constant road resurfacing.
