Quarter Final Round Of Boy's Sweet 16 Kicks Off

The quarter final round of the boy's Sweet 16 tournament is now underway at Rupp Arena. Only eight teams remain in the running, hoping to be named the new state champion.

This afternoon, Lexington Catholic met up with Owensboro this afternoon. Catholic won the game 54 to 47, sedning the Knights to the Final Four. After that, Paintsville took on Holmes High School. Holmes heads to the semifinals with a score of 61 to 53.

The evening session kicks off at 6:30 tonight with Hazard playing Shelby County High School. The final game features Paducah Tilghman and Mason County at 8:00.

The four teams that move on to the semifinal round will play Saturday morning and then the championship game will be played at 8:00 Saturday night.
