Kentucky is once again in the political spotlight.
Vice President Dick Cheney landed at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport at around 11:00 on Monday morning before attending a private fundraiser.
He was expected to spend about two hours at the event to help raise money for state Senator Brett Guthrie who is running for Congress.
Guthrie is the GOP state senator from Bowling Green. He is seeking the open 2nd congressional district seat in west-central Kentucky after Ron Lewis retired.
Representative Hal Rogers and coach Billy Gillispie were also expected to be in attendance at the luncheon fundraiser.
It was held at the home of Judson and Kenny Knight on Ashwood Drive in the Chevy Chase neighborhood. Judson Knight is a U.S. Delegate to the United Nations.
