Vice President Dick Cheney Stops In Lexington

Kentucky is once again in the political spotlight.

Vice President Dick Cheney landed at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport at around 11:00 on Monday morning before attending a private fundraiser.

He was expected to spend about two hours at the event to help raise money for state Senator Brett Guthrie who is running for Congress.

Guthrie is the GOP state senator from Bowling Green. He is seeking the open 2nd congressional district seat in west-central Kentucky after Ron Lewis retired.

Representative Hal Rogers and coach Billy Gillispie were also expected to be in attendance at the luncheon fundraiser.

It was held at the home of Judson and Kenny Knight on Ashwood Drive in the Chevy Chase neighborhood. Judson Knight is a U.S. Delegate to the United Nations.

He should reimburse me and all the other people he inconvenienced when New Circle Road was closed in the middle of lunch hour. Is he going to cover my loss of time due to his private party appearance. NO!

Ah..I see the enlightened, Mary and Ben, are all miffed. All praise to King Obama, he will rock your world.

I'm glad to see that Mary and ben are perpetuating the stereotype of the typical Liberal. Liberal are so "open minded" that their brains have fallen out! I'm an Independent so don't think you can portray me as a right wing nut. You have shown your true colors and if your Liberal nominee gets elected, don't cry when your taxes go up and your paycheck gets smaller. Remember, you liberals want to take care of those who CAN work but refuse to and continue to live off your tax dollars.
