Gas Station Held Up At Gunpoint

Lexington Police are searching for two men who held up a gas station at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the Shell Station on Harrodsburg Road near Lane Allen just after 2:00 a.m.

Both men were dressed in black hoodies.

One of the men had a black, semi-automatic handgun.

He showed it to the clerk during the robbery and demanded money, police say.

The clerk complied.

No one was hurt.

Investigators say the gas station has surveillance cameras and they're trying to determine if the robbery was captured on camera.

I don't even know any why convenient stores stay open after 1:00 am, lock up and make gas only sellable by paying at pump with credit/debit card. I mean really, do you make that much selling phillies blunts at 3:00 a.m.
