Man Pleads Not Guilty To Drug, Animal Abuse Charges

A Southern Kentucky man, arrested on drug charges, and accused of keeping dogs in filthy conditions, pleaded not guilty plea this morning.

Ricky Bell was arrested Tuesday at his Pulaski County home after sheriff's deputies searched the home for drugs.

Police say in addition to meth and marijuana, officers found 23 dogs living in filth. Most of the animals were in such bad shape, they'll have to be put down.

Bell faces animal cruelty and drug charges.

anonymous there wasn't a man in no yard, that man was on his OWN PROPERTY, matter of a fact he was 36 feet from property line on HIS OWN PROPERTY, that is exactly where derel shot him. derel drove up the road in his car and shot him. Now, do you want to call that self-defense? How could you call that self-defense, when he drove up the road and gunned down someone that was on THEIR OWN PROPERTY?? How do you call it self-defense when you leave a party and come back with guns and open fire on 16 people, that is not self-defense either. You people need to look up self-defense in the dictionary.

anonymous, do you call self defense going way out of your way to shoot someone? has it been self defense all 4 shootings? that is very impossible. was all 16 people in house at eubank trying to shoot derel ( don't forget a 4 year old child too) that is so impossible too. derel will get time for his crimes, someday. I don't know if i would say just yet that derel is out of all these crimes, he sure does have alot of charges on him. sooner or later the law will have to do the right thing and put him in jail.

DEREL GRIFFIN DOESN'T DESERVE A LOT OF TIME LIKE BELL DOES. DEREL'S SO TO BE CRIMES AS U CALL THEM WERE DONE IN SELF DEFENSE WHICH IS WHY HE HASN'T GOT ANY TIME OUT OF THE DEAL. AS THE POLICE SAID IF THERE WAS A MAN LIKE THAT IN MY YARD AT 3 IN THE MORNING AND HIM DRUNK THREATENING MY FAMILY QUOTE: (I WOULD HAVE SHOT HIM IN THE HEAD).BELL ON THE OTHER HAND SHOULD AND UR RIGHT HE WILL GET MORE TIME THAN DEREL GRIFFIN.

I know animal cruelty and drugs is a crime and should be and I bet Bell gets more time in jail for these crimes then Derel Griffin does for the shooting spree he went on when he shot up the house full of people including a 4 year old child in Eubank Feb 9th. Which was the 3rd shooting he has done and gotten away with. Court date for this shooting is April 24th, let's see who gets more time in the slammer for these crimes, wonder if animal cruelty is worse than human lives???

Without someone noticing, and what was he thinking?

Let's see how light the slap on his wrists will be for the animal abuse. The majority of them are being put to sleep and he most likely will have to pay a fine, and will be able to be out and do it again. Come on people wake up, the police, courts, etc. are the ones in position to stop this maddening cycle!
