DUI Crash Victim Dies Monday Night

Two people are now dead after a DUI crash in Whitley County.

The wreck happened nearly two weeks ago on Kentucky 26 near Corbin. Alton Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene. Today we learned Wilson's wife, Cathia, has also died at UK Hospital.

44-year old Randell Mayne has already plead not guilty to manslaughter and DUI charges stemming from the crash.

Police say Mayne was under the influence when his jeep crossed the center line of Kentucky 26, killing Wilson instantly.

If indeed guilty, Mr. Mayne needs to punished to the fullest extent of the law.It is time that people that are proved to be DUI be held accountable for their actions and not just given a fine and a slap on the wrist. We shouldn't give them the chance to do it again.
