A man is arrested in connection with a shooting at a Lexington park.
Police took Michael Terry, 18, into custody late Wednesday.

He's charged with robbery after police say he took a cell phone from Rafael Santana Jr. in Valley Park Monday, just before another man was shot.

Terry was beaten up during the scuffle. His girlfriend tells 27 NEWSFIRST that he was thrown against a fence moments later someone shouted, "he's got a gun."

19 year old Okeoghean Flynn was shot and taken to the hospital where he was treated and later released for his injuries.

Terry pleaded not guilty in court Thursday and is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

One day after the shooting at the park, a home near Valley Park was shot at. Police tell 27NEWSFIRST it appears the shootings are connected and could be gang related. More arrests are expected.

If Lexington doesn't get 287g in their police force this type of thing will only get worse. It seems Mayor Newberry doesn't really care, as long as it doesn't effect him personally.
