House fire kills toddler and adult

OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Two people, including a 2-year-old child, have died in a house fire, according to police.

The fire broke out just before 5:30 a.m. Friday, at a home on Agee Road near Owenton.

Kentucky State Police say a two-year-old child died at the scene, along with 31-year-old Brock Morgan of Greensburg, Indiana. The child's name has not been released.

Police say the child's mother, 30-year-old Katherine Perry, of Owenton, was airlifted to a Cincinnati hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire, but they say it appears it started in the kitchen of the home.
