Severe Weather Brings High Winds To Western Kentucky, 3 Injured

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Three people were injured when their trailer flipped over and was destroyed during a strong line of thunderstorms late Thursday and early Friday.

Tara Duvall, a spokeswoman for Warren County Emergency Management in south-central Kentucky, said a mother and two children were inside the trailer when the storm struck.

All three were taken to area hospitals, but their identities and conditions remained unknown Friday morning.

The storms were part of a system that spawned tornadoes and even snow and flooded nearly 200 roads in Missouri, closed schools in Arkansas and ripped off the roofs of dozens of houses in Texas.

Monica French, a spokeswoman for the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management, said marble-sized hail was reported in Christian County, with smaller hail in Henderson County.

Hail also damaged some homes, businesses and cars in Richardsville, north of Bowling Green, Duvall said.
