I would just like everybody to know what we are going through. my papaw was so kind the people that did this he was good to them too. I had a baby back in January and my mamaw never did see her. She was in the hospital and i never did take her there, i regreet that. But my baby loved her papaw she smiled and laughed every time she seen him or heard his voice. Me and my sisters grew up around John and i would have never thought he would do something to one of my family memebers...exspecially my papaw that is so sad. I can't sleep at night i have bad dreams about them doing that to him. I can't go to the bathroom by myself at night when everybody is asleep i ahve to wake up my husband to go with me. And people shoudn't be scared like that in there own home. I loved my papaw and so did the rest of our family that is crazy the way that they done him.....I hope they pay for what they have done...They should be taken out and done the same way.

This is so sad, what is going on in our little community, so much is going on People Please open up your eyes call out to the Lord before it is to late. Let's all lift up this family. I think instead of hurting our elderly we should be helping them. what has happened to the good old fashion neighbors. I remember when the young would help the elderly carry in there coal and help empty there ashes. and a pat on the back was plenty for helping out. I Pray God helps this family. God Bless You All...Tina

I know one of the people charged in this crime and i have to say that i am amazed that this hasn't happened until now. I would like to send my sympathy to the family of the victim. My prayers and thoughts are with you in your time of need.

This kind of crime should not surprise anyone in Letcher Co. You "never" hear of a drug bust, or a "Unite" undercover operation, or a meth lab in our county.
