Woman Pleads Not Guilty In Child's Death

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Lexington woman has pleaded not guilty to murder after police say she left a newborn in a trash can near
Shelbyville.
Tonya Nicole Brown, 25, appeared in Shelby County District Court
on Tuesday. Her bond was set at $500,000 cash or $1 million in property. She remained in the Shelby County Jail on Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers found the body of the baby Thursday night near Interstate 64.
State police say Brown was going to Lexington with a family member April 6 when she delivered the baby in Shelby County.
She sought treatment Thursday at University of Kentucky Hospital. The baby was found later that night.

So my question is why would you dump a baby when you are a married women with another child. People are saying no one in her family knew she was having another baby. Give me a break, unless her husband didn't touch her for the last 9 months. Sounds like the baby was maybe someone elses. To the comment before. The one that said 'maybe you would do the same if you were in that situation." No I don't think under any circumstance is that alright to do.

I know both Nicole and her husband and I want to let them know that from our family to yours we are praying for you. We have not judged you or written you off. You still have people that love you as brothers and sisters in Christ.

You know, how hard would it have been to go to the hospital and have it or to take the baby with you, there is always ADOPTION and it don't cost you anything to give a baby up. INSTEAD she let this baby DIE a SLOW DEATH! That is MURDER and she deserves the same. Well wait, SHe probably has mental issues, still SAD!

This just makes me sick. If she didn't want the baby there is always adoption. She should lose her life the way she killed her baby.

Good to know everyone calling for this womans death is without one sin.In God's eyes, one sin is no bigger than the other, and when Jesus died,he died for ALL sins, and died for ALL people. All you holier than thou, you need to stop and really think,WHAT WOULD JESUS DO-HE WOULD DIE ON A CROSS FOR TONYA BROWN,EVEN IF SHE IS GUILTY. Better ease up...You're going to have to answer to God for judging her.I'm not saying she is not to be held responsible by the laws of the land, and if that be the death penalty,so be it,but just dont be so holier than thou acting like we are without sin and have never done wrong. Also,no,I've never killed a child of mine, nor anyone, for that matter, and I know if most human's eyes, murder isn't equal to breaking the speed limit. But like I said,in God's eyes,a sin is a sin.Jesus DID die for ALL sins,so he died for her, like it or not.

She is a monster for doing what she did. That was a precious child and she just threw it away like some unwanted piece of garbage. If she didn't want the child why didn't she just give it up for adoption? There are many people that aren't able to have children that woudld have loved to adopt that baby. She deserves to receive the death penalty. I agree with the other person that posted a comment..anything less than her death is not acceptable. Why should she be allowed to live when she took the life of her baby..and threw it away no less. I want to know two things. How can someone do that to a child, especially the mother of that child? And how in the world can she plead not guilty?? Just seeing her on the news and hearing what she did makes me physically sick.

Lets get all the facts out before you go accussing her of all this nonsense we all know how the news really makes you look before all fact are found. You don't even know the whole situation so you better think about what you say when you are judging a book by its cover. who knows if you wouldn't have done the same thing in this situation. YOu have no idea what she is going through...........WE love you NICOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
