Former UK Football Player Arrested After Fight

A member of last season's UK football team is in trouble with the law.

Police say they arrested Jamil Paris after a fight at Main Street Live in downtown Lexington, early Friday morning.

He's charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, menacing and assault. He pleaded not guilty to those charges at a court appearance on Friday afternoon.

Paris left the football team after the end of the season. Rich Brooks told reporters Paris has a medical condition that wont let him play again.

This is a good example why the bars should close no later than 1pm. Do we want to use valuable resources to control people 4am in the morning? We want everyone safe at home. I understand extending the liquer liscence gives companies a better profit but at what cost. We see people fighting, people getting runned over. It's a shame that the people do not realize how much Lexington is being affected because bars are staying open longer.
