It was another shaky start to a day in parts of the Midwest, including Kentucky.

Yet another aftershock from Friday morning's earthquake rocked West Salem, Illinois.

Geologists say the tremor hit just before 1:40 Monday morning and registered 4.5 on the Richter scale. Friday's quake measured 5.2.

Monday's aftershock was a little surprising to assistant state Geologist John Kiefer. Some areas close to the initial quake could feel the aftershock.

Kiefer says even though the magnitude of this morning's aftershock was bigger than expected, he says we are now going through the period of readjustments.

Kiefer says it could take up to two weeks for the aftershocks to stop.
