An overnight fire rips through an eastern Kentucky furniture factory.

It broke out just before midnight Friday at Flat Rock Furniture on Highway 421 in Jackson County.

All four of Jackson County’s fire departments responded as well as departments from nearby counties.

The middle part of the factory has heavy damage.

No one was working at the time. There are no reports of injuries.

Three years ago, Midsouth Electronics burned to the ground in Jackson County, leaving hundreds without jobs.

another sign of the dead economy. at least insurance will pay for something that is not selling. The terrible housing market and outrageous fuel prices are having a severe impact. One might even say this is financial terrorism. Seems like some terrorists once said their attack would be on the heart of america. Money is that heart.
