Accident Closes Interstate 64 In Eastern Kentucky

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say an accident
involving an overturned tractor-trailer has closed Interstate 64 at
the Carter-Rowan line in eastern Kentucky.

Police say eastbound lanes are expected to be closed throughout
the day, while westbound lanes are closed temporarily.

Police say drivers traveling east should take Exit 137 at
Morehead and take Kentucky 32 east to U.S. 60 east to Kentucky 2
east at Olive Hill and re-enter I-64 at Exit 156.

Drivers traveling west should take Exit 156 at Olive Hill and
can return to I-64 at Exit 137 in Morehead.

Driver of the truck is reported to be OK. Westbound lanes seem to be re-opened at 4pm as traffic is moving in that direction. Another option for drivers heading east is to take Exit 133 Farmers-Sharkey to US-60. This avoids the Morehead connector traffic and will save travelers time.
