Danville's city commission approved a smoking ban Monday night by a vote of 3 to 2.
It goes into effect in 60 days and will prohibit smoking in 'all' public places, including restaurants, pool halls, and bowling alleys.
Its now been several years since people were allowed to light up inside public buildings and businesses in Fayette County.
The smoking ban went into effect four years ago on Monday.
Lexington was the first Kentucky city to put such a ban in place, but more than a dozen other communities have since done the same.
Woodford County appears to be on the verge of passing a ban.
