Guilty On All Counts

31-year-old Jason Lee Todd was convicted of murder Monday night by a Woodford County jury.

Todd was convicted of killing 51-year-old Valerie Monjure in her Versailles home in August of 2006 and stabbing her friend, June Brown, in the neck with a barbecue fork.

During the trial, Brown's testimony was thrown out because she perjured herself on the stand. Todd's lawyers had argued the evidence was weak and contaminated by the Versailles Police department, but jury didn't see it that way.

Todd now faces 20 years to life.

I think he deserves to stay in jail as til he dies there. He took away the life of your Mom and she can't come back, therefore, he does'nt deserve his freedom.

As Valerie's oldest daughter I would like to clarify what the news cast represented as truth. Cindy Jones is not part of our family and has no knowledge of the justice that we want served. This man took our mother and we DO care what kind of sentence that is served.
