Price At The Pump Jumps Again

The gas price roller coaster is going up again. Prices in Lexington hit another record high on Tuesday morning.

Many stations changed their prices to $3.65 a gallon for unleaded. The price comes just a week after setting a high price of $3.59.

On Tuesday morning, President Bush addressed the high prices at gas stations around the country. He blames Congress for blocking his proposals to deal with high gas prices, including exploring for oil in Alaska.

We need to start building more refineries before drilling for oil in Alaska. While we are in this gasoline mess, I have a helpful note. Don't let your gas gage go BELOW half a tank. Then when you fill up, the total you pay will not hurt as much. And to close with a little humor taken from the gasoline crisis of the '70's: "You can fuel some of the people some of the time, but you can't fuel people all the time". Ta-dah !

Why don't we all buy some of those horses these other owners are letting starve to death and use them for our transportation? At least when you feed them you can use what comes out the other end...LOL!

The only reason gas prices are as high as they are is because Bush has to keep them up there to pay for his WAR

Hey Tom @9:58, you need to go back and read my post, pal. I merely SUGGESTED that folks may consider moving closer to work to alleviate thier suffering, I also suggested other modes of transport. YOU NEED TO DO YOUR RESEARCH AS WELL BUDDY, where do you get that the Government is making profits from the Oil companies? As far as the Politicians working for the Oil Companies you must be high as a kite, because that sir is just an outright LIE! I would betthat anyone with a retirement plan at work is probably invested in some of the big oil companies. Get over it, we are not the only ones in the world using oil and if we won't pay the price per barrel on the OPEN MARKET, then I am sure some other country will step up and buy it at the going rate. Do you not understand Supply and Demand? Obviously not, poor you.

Not buying gas for one day will do NOTHING! Quit claiming it would drop prices. We are going to need it eventually and the oil companies know that. The price WON'T drop; what else can you put in your gas tank? NOTHING except GAS! They have us over a barrel (pun intended). Quit driving 85mph on the interstate and save fuel. You jerks complain but don't do anything about it (I don't mean all of you jerks). I agree with Chris' summation of the problem. Nobody complained about record profits from other companies did they?
