Firefighters Battle Stubborn Overnight Fire

A Scott County family spent Wednesday morning out of their home after a fire.

The fire broke out on Skinnersburg Road in Stamping Ground.

When firefighters arrived, they saw flames shooting from the roof of the double wide mobile home.

Multiple fire crews responded to the home.

Firefighters were able to salvage some things from the home, but for the most part it's considered a total loss.

No one was injured.

The curse of global warming is rapidly destroying our habitat. Spontaneous combustion of homes, trailers and fairgrounds bleachers is getting more commonplace. With the Santa Anita winds moving ever eastward from California we will soon have devastating fires that consume entire cities and mobile home parks. The Santa Anita winds are winds of fire driven by the friction they exert on the warm surface of objects.
