Computer Error Leads To Great Gas Price For Some Customers

While most have felt the pain at the gas pump, a handful of people filling up at a Lexington gas station got a nice surprise on Wednesday morning.

The Thorton's station on Georgetown Road mistakenly sold several tanks full of gas at $2.64 a gallon, instead of the listed price, which was a dollar more.

Clerks working at the station said only a few people were lucky enough to get the cheaper gas.

They blame the dollar difference on a computer error, which was quickly fixed.

They say an honest customer alerted them to the low price.

It's crazy that we consider $2.64 cheap for gas... when are the high prices going to end... the oil and gas people have it all... why are prices so high when the oil people could still make tons of money if gas was $1.64 a gallon???

Dont blame it on computers. They are making millions around the world on us and we are letting them get away with it. The oil and gas people have it all............

I wonder if the gasoline is actually worth the $2.64 per gallon that it sold for. Gas Stations could still sell at $1.64 per gallon and rack in enormous profits. I bet the fine cashiers will be searching for work shortly due to the Loss of Oil Profits.

Now why on earth would you do something like that? They are the ones that are dishonest.
