Man Arrested For Posing As Police Officer

A northern Kentucky man faces charges after police say he posed as an officer to steal money.

Investigators say 23-year-old Michael Bowlin, of Florence, asked the victim for a ride in downtown Cincinnati.

Once inside the car, Bowlin allegedly told the man he was an undercover cop and told him he was being charged, for solicitation.

Police say Bowlin told the victim he could pay a $350 fine on the spot. Police say Bowlin later demanded more money. That's when he was arrested.

Most people are so scared of cops that all you have to do is claim to be one to get 100% compliance. Consider the bizarre strip search case in Mt. Washington McDonald's. The manager thought that a cop was on the line.

you cant pretend to be a cop and tell someone they can pay a fine right there on the spot and the victim should have figured it out when there was no citation or paper work of any kind ... oh well stupid is as stupid does
