Caterpillars Causing Problems For Kentucky's Foal Crop

Those fuzzy "tent caterpillars" are back in Kentucky and are causing concern for horse farms.

Research at UK has strongly linked tent caterpillars with mare reproductive loss syndrome.

Back in 2001, M.R.L.S. wiped out about 30% of Kentucky’s thoroughbred foal crop.

Experts say this year's outbreak is not as severe as then, but now is the time to act in order to keep the caterpillars from causing problems for horses.
