Dunbar Baseball Coach Suspended

The coach of the defending state high school baseball champions has been suspended and he wants to know why.

Dunbar Head Coach, Mickey Marshall received a letter today from Fayette County Superintendent Stu Silberman, informing him of his suspension from coaching and from teaching at Dixie Elementary.

The school system says it received a complaint of financial misconduct, but Marshall's attorney says his client has no access to finances with the school or booster clubs.

It is standard procedure to suspended employees while the school system investigates any allegations.

Marshall's attorney plans to file an injunction Monday to get his client re-instated.

There have been allegations of Marshall's wrongdoing for years among people involved in the Dunbar baseball program and booster club. He just finally got caught. Been there, went through it!!!
