The wreck happened around 4:30 this afternoon in front of The Castle on Versailles Road.

Police say a red truck clipped a car, causing the driver of the car to lose control. It went over the median and into oncoming traffic. The car then hit a Jeep Cherokee.

The man driving the car was thrown out of the vehicle. Four people inside the Cherokee were able to get out before it caught fire. The driver of the truck which initially caused the wreck managed to get out of his flipped truck and ran, but was caught shortly after.

That driver and seven others, including two children, were taken to UK Hospital. They are all listed in stable condition.

Why are you so quick to assume it's an illegal Mexican? It's probably some stupid white male who was drunk.

weird that this story doesn't identify the running driver -- seven people including two children and a running driver probably means illegal mexican, so why isn't the story reporting that?

And here is yet another accident, firey no less. Fortunately, no one was killed this time. Can't tell you how many times I've moved over to let someone in off of Bluegrass Parkway and got stuck there when every impatient driver started passing me on the right so I couldn't return to the right lane. I wonder if that is what happened this time?
