WKU Student Killed In Crash

Finals week is going to be even more difficult for some students at Western Kentucky University after they lost a classmate over the weekend.

Graduate student Jesse Keeling was on her way to Louisville on Saturday, when a driver crossed the median and slammed into her Jeep.

Keeling was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority at WKU. Sorority sisters say they'll never forget her.

Visitation for Keeling will be from 2:00-8:00 on Tuesday night at Ratterman Funeral Home in Louisville. Her funeral will be Wednesday at Epiphany Church at 11:00 Wednesday. That's also in Louisville.

School officials say they will work with students who want to attend the funeral during finals week.

This is just horrible. My heart goes out to the family. There are too many cross over accidents in Kentucky. An UK graduate student lost her life the same way last year. People please we need to slow down and be considerate towards other drivers. The speed limit says 70 but we don't have to drive 85 MPH. Please, please speed kills.... we need to slow down.
