Some of the best and brightest students in Pike County get some national recognition for their performance in the classroom.
Students, faculty and staff at Belfry Middle School were honored as a School To Watch.
School officials say they are thrilled to be the 48th school in the nation to receive the honor.
They say it took a lot of hard work but it was worth it.
Only eight other Kentucky schools have received the award since it began in 1999.
