Boy Pulled From Lake, Taken To Hospital

CADIZ, Ky. (AP) - A 6-year-old boy was found floating in Lake Barkley near Cadiz after he apparently fell from a docked boat.
Kentucky wildlife resources Officer Daniel Richardson declined to identify the victim, but said he was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
His condition was not known Thursday evening.
Richardson said emergency medical technicians performed CPR at
the dock and the child's heartbeat was restored at Trigg County Hospital before he was transferred.
Sgt. Bill Snow said the the boy's father apparently locked him in a cabin cruiser at Barkley Marina and walked to the parking lot. When the man returned about 5 minutes later, he saw the boy in the water.
Richardson has notified the U.S. Army so the boy's mother - an
Army captain - can return from Iraq.

There are more things than war that take people away from their families. I drive a truck and am gone a lot, but my wife still doesn't lock our children in the boat and go to the car! My prayers and thoughts go out to the boy and his family, but there should be more investigation into the locking up. At the very least its neglect, and if he doesn't make it, stiffer charges should follow. May God's will be done. God Bless!

Locked him in the cabin cruiser and was gone for five minutes? Sounds kind of fishy to me (no pun intended). I'll wait for an update until I make any further comments. I hope the boy will be okay.

Does anyone else think it is odd that he locked up a 6 year old and walked to a parking lot? Why not just take him with him? Something is not right about this.
