An oil spill caused a slippery situation in one Perry County community.

Neighbors who live in the Vicco area of Perry County say an oil spill caused some problems for drivers on Montgomery Creek Road.

Highway officials sent crews to the scene and treated the road with salt.

“The first thing when I opened my door I smelled diesel fuel and I was asking them what kind of oil it seemed to be. The people that called me and they said it smelled like diesel,” Truman Hurt said.

Even though road conditions have improved, Truman says the road could still be slick.
