Lexington Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Utility Pole

A ramp onto New Circle Road is back open after an early Monday morning accident.

A car crashed into a utility pole on a ramp from Georgetown Road onto New Circle.

After crashing into the pole, the car hit a fence.

The pole is now out of the road.

Police say the driver fled the scene and was later arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

He went to UK Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to police.

    They put utility poles in the strangest places. I would sue the pants of them.
