Student Accused Of Sexual Abuse Makes Court Appearance

A Lincoln County High School student accused of taping a 16-year-old girl to a chair and fondling her went to court on Monday.

19-year-old Justin Lee Davis faces kidnapping and sexual abuse charges.

The alleged incident happened in the school's greenhouse while a teacher was out of the room. School officials tell 27 NEWSFIRST that when the teacher returned to the room, he immediately called police.

Davis was arrested at school. There's no word on what disciplinary action, if any, he faces at school. He could face expulsion.

At Monday's hearing, the case was sent on to the grand jury.

Thank goodness this didn't happen in Hazard...the Mayor would be criticizing the police for arresting him because ya know..."they're just kids having fun". LOL, but seriously, this guy should know better and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law...and maybe it will send a message to this wayward kids that breaking the law is not tolerated under any circumstances. This may well save his life later on from what he learned in this incident.

It just goes to show you that anything can happen in these schools. Can't even trust teenagers to be left alone in the room together for a short period of time. Regardless of the age of any student, these kids should never be left alone and things like this wouldn't happen in the first place.
