Amusement Park Accident Report Expected Today

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Department of Agriculture
says it plans to release a report Friday on an amusement park
accident in Louisville that severed a teenager's feet.

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture inspects amusement park
rides. It has been awaiting tests on a cable from the Superman
Tower of Power ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom to determine what
caused it to snap.

Agriculture spokesman Bill Clary says there will be no further
comment prior to the release of the report.

The teenager and her family are suing Six Flags Kentucky
Kingdom, claiming the park failed to maintain the ride and
equipment and ensure riders' safety. In court filings, the
amusement park has denied liability in the accident.
