The Senate's longest severing member is currently in a Washington hospital.
Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia was taken to the hospital Monday night for observation after suffering from lethargy and sluggishness.
The Democratic Senator is 90-years-old.
Byrd was last in the hospital this past march for an allergic reaction to antibiotics.
He's been serving in the senate since 1959. That makes him the longest serving Senator in the legislature's history.
