Woman Accused Of Setting Her Home On Fire Returns To Court

A central Kentucky woman, accused of faking a home invasion returned to court Wednesday afternoon.

Mary White had a motion hour appearance to deal with some legal issues regarding her case.

Police say she told them she was shot by burglars, who then set her Nicholas County home on fire back in February. Investigators claim she made it all up.

White is charged with falsely reporting an incident. An arson charge was dropped last month.

As the wife of a full-time firefighter, I am appalled that the arson charge was dropped; what if someone had been injured battling this blaze she set?? This woman should face some sort of assault charge IN ADDITION to the arson for the potential danger she put these men and women in when she started the fire!
