Harlan Independent Schools Looking To Cut Costs

It's a tough time on everyone's wallet and that includes the Harlan Independent School Board.

The Harlan Daily Enterprise is reporting construction has not started on Harlan’s new elementary school building.

That's because the district is asking the architect to look into ways to save them money on the project. The board met this week and decided to give an additional month past their original August 10th completion date to finish construction on the school.

    everything has school tax on it, so where does all of this tax money go? they still have to send these kids out trying to sell stuff door to door.
