Man Accused Of Driving Under The Influence & Hitting A Deputy Will Be Back In Court

The man police say was driving under the influence and hit a Whitley County Sheriff's deputy will be back in court next month.

Police say Jerry Ridner crossed the center line last month on Kentucky 26 in Whitley County and hit deputy Ronnie Bowling's cruiser.

Ridner pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him including DUI and reckless driving.

He will be back in court for a pretrial hearing July ninth.

Deputy Bowling had to have a hip replaced as a result of the crash.

Plead not guilty to all charges:
DUI 2nd
Open Container
Failure to wear seatbelt
Reckless driving
License to be in possession
