KY Court Of Appeals Will Hear Two Pike County Cases

The Kentucky Court of Appeals will hear arguments for two Pike County cases on Thursday in Mount Sterling.

One of the cases involves Lafe Ward, who was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 10 years in prison for a 2006 car accident that killed Benita Dixon.

Police say Ward was driving drunk when he ran a red light in South Williamson and hit Dixon's car.

Ward's attorney is appealing the ruling, saying Kentukcy's statutes regarding murder after a DUI crash is vague.

The court will also hear arguments in a civil suit involving Mary Coleman and Lones Adams.
