Pastor Acquitted In Manslaughter Case

A McCcreary county jury found a pastor not guilty of manslaughter for his role in a deadly crash.

It only took the eight woman, four man jury an hour to reach their decision, in favor of Claude Davis.

Davis ran into Abigail Marler's car last June, as she was waiting to make a turn onto another road. Police say Davis was driving recklessly at the time of the crash.

If he was convicted of manslaughter, he could have spent up to ten years in prison.

The McCreary County Record says this intersection has been the site of several serious wrecks over the years.

This man is no better then any one else.He never spent one day in jail but yet if you miss treat and animal or hit a teacher like the elderly man in Burnside did, you would get jail time. My heart goes out deeply to the family of the young lady that was killed. Davis only got off because the jurors where either paid off or fell for his pity story that he gave. He is not the only one that that was in the war, like everything else it is only and excuse. And if he is that bad then he shouldn't beable to drive a car and kill others. I believe what upsets people more then any thing is the fact Davis never spent one day in jail and he is no better then any one else. But eveyone pays sooner or later for what they do,if not in this life time they will the next.Only in McCreary Co. can you commit murder and get by with it,for the jurors are to afraid to punish you. What if this had been you mother, wife or daughter, would you still found him not guilty? I think not.

Believe it or not....However, this man was found NOT GUILTY....I was in court all day and it just blew lots of people's mind that he was cleared with what evidence that was presented.
